What I think about Indians/India

Tag: Country Affairsvsanjay @ 10:59 pm

I’m going to use this post to express my views on India and Indians. This post will be constantly updated as I keep understanding the mindset of us Indians. I shall also write about problems with Indians that are keeping us from developing mentally and consequently, in the areas of infrastructure.

Problem 1 : Treating the female species like third class citizens. Indian men have been ill treating women since time immemorial. They were and are beaten up, have been always confined to the home and the kitchen. Money matters, or anything else important for that matter were never discussed with their wifes. Men still decide which man their daughter marries. He decides what his daughter studies, whom she meets or talks to, what she wears, and how she moves.

When a new born takes birth, a girl is considered a minus and a boy, a plus. If you’re not an Indian, you might ask WTH? If you’re new to this, then welcome to the world of dowry. When a girl is married away, the father of the girl is supposed to pay her daughter’s in-laws for taking care of her daughter for the rest of her life. Consider this : Dell gives you a laptop and also gives you money for it, and asks you to take care of it!! I mean, men are considered a plus coz that means that they’d fetch a handsome dowry when they are married off, and a girl means, she’d have to be fed, sent to school, and taken care of, and then marry her off to someone who needs to be paid for that. Ponder about it. Its a vicious circle.

A man is born because of a woman. He loves a woman, needs her for his physical desires, and wants her to cook food for him. Has he ever wondered what he has done for any woman? He has only helped aggravate her troubles. Girls face eve-teasing, they / their bodies are glared at, by thousands of lustful eyes, rude comments passed on, and humiliated.
I’d suggest women carry a gun and shoot every man in his balls who tries to pester her.

Over time, girls have been dumbed down due to ages of suppression. Its only of late, that girls have started realising their true potential. Here in the US, a woman is seen as capable of handling any post that a man can.

It is time Indians respected women, treated her as equal, and realised more man ..ughh.. woman power, and helped strengthen the Indian workforce.

Problem 2: Interest in thy neighbors’ life

Another problem with Indians is their keenness in knowing about every other person on earth, and their life. What they do, what they eat, wear, how they speak, which girl/boy they talk to. We’re interested in every aspect of their life.
We often hear people speak about:
“what that girl wore that day, how she looked, whom she spoke to, how was he related to him, did she have a relationship with him, why does she talk to everybody?” — Who are you to decide what some girl has got to do with her life? You’re better off bothering about yourself.
“You know, what our neighbor’s son did? He eloped with a girl of another caste!! ” — So what the fuck? Its his life, why did he have to elope? Coz, people like you made him do that!
Typical bachelor’s room example ” You know, this guys never cooks, he never clears up his mess.”, ” Ohh! He’s so annoying, he thinks he can do whatever he wants!! I’m avoiding speaking to him. ” — This usually happens with everyone, and there usually is a single bug making a mess. Like, I’ve this guy who backbites about everybody else in the room except the room-mate he’s currently talking to. Face it, if he wants to sort things out, he shud be dealing with the trouble directly, instead of talking about it to somebody else.
This leads to the typical Indian example, in that, everybody only complains, no body is bothered about doing anything, neither do they stop complaining.

I wonder : Have people got no better work to do in life? How about improving the way they deal with things? How about simply educating people around them about living a better life? No, we’re Indian. You can’t teach us anything.
